When setting your wedding design budget, remember to remove the cost of your dress, rings, honeymoon and any other element you will organise yourself. Only consider the amount you have left after these elements have been accounted for separately.

Don’t waste your own time! The whole point of working with a wedding designer is to save you time and, hopefully money by giving you the best possible value for your money. This is far easier to achieve if you are upfront about your budget from the beginning.

3. What do you want to achieve?

The third factor you must consider is what exactly do you want to achieve by employing a wedding designer?

If you are simply looking for someone to be there on the day and co-ordinate your suppliers then what you may in fact need is a wedding co-ordinator.
