A rock ‘n’ roll 10th anniversary party to remember!

Brief

West Coast Harley wanted a rock ‘n’ roll night to remember to celebrate their 10th anniversary of the Glasgow store. The theme was classic American 50’s & 60’s rock ‘n’ roll which of course meant rocking music, big country snacks and fancy dress to get guests in the mood!

Event Promotion

To promote the party to customers and friends of West Coast Harley Davidson, we produced posters and snazzy tickets for display and sale in the shop front. This was also replicated on their website for extra exposure.

Time to Rock ‘n’ Roll

When guests arrived at the Primary in Glasgow’s west end, dressed like the cast of the movie Grease, they couldn’t miss the venue as the outside of the garden was covered in orange and black balloons, the Harley Davidson colours. Excited guests were transported back in time to an old American Diner with letterbox red leather booths; giant cola bottles, gas pumps, oversized juke box and giant ice cream Sundaes.

After settling with a glass of bubbly, guests were able to take a closer look at the finer details of the party décor. Harley Davidson memorabilia, diner signs, contemporary blackboard designs and all American flags adorned the wall of the pub venue.

Throughout the evening, in true American style, the guests tucked into hot dogs, burgers, potato skins and corn on the cob from the barbeque, whilst enjoying the beer garden of the Primary and listening to a Rock Radio DJ on the decks.

The 10th anniversary was officially celebrated with a gigantic birthday cake decorated with a 2D model of a classic Harley Davidson motor bike. The owner of the store gave a little speech of thanks before blowing out the tonnes of candles that were on the cake!

Then, playing in front of a backdrop of the infamous Route 66, rocking’ nine piece soul band, Big Vern and the Shootas, thrilled guests with rock ‘n’ roll classics, followed by total rock by AC Blackhead and then another set by Big Vern and the Shootas. Guests danced the night away to top tunes like ‘Dancing in the Street’ & ‘Walking on Sunshine’.

The Verdict

Don, the owner of West Coast Harley had this to say after the event:

“I don‘t think you need me to tell you how much we enjoyed ourselves on Saturday night. It was a real credit to your company that everything went so well - great organisation and the result of a lot of work from everyone at 88 events in the run up to and on the night.

The props were superb and I appreciate all the nice touches and individual items that went in to create the right atmosphere. Special thanks from me to Gillian who worked like a Trojan all night.
