Vera Wang Says So – Red Is In This Year!

Vera Wang recently launched her Spring 2013 Bridal Collection and every single piece in the collection was red! That’s right folks, all red with not a single speck of white or ivory to be seen anywhere.

According to Cheryl Wischover of fashionista.com, this sudden glut of redness might have something to with “China’s ever increasing influence in the fashion world.”

In her notes to the collection Vera mentions the following:

“Beautiful dream. The symbolism of Red. Boldly romantic, charming, protective, grand, seductive, sexy. From dahlia to scarlet, crimson and vermilion. A celebration of love.”

Whatever your thoughts, it is clear that red is going to play a big part in stylish wedding designs this year. At 88 Events, we’ve noticed more and more brides steering away from the traditional colours of ivory and white.
