With regards to religious ceremonies, did you know that traditionally Ashkenazi Jewish ceremonies were ideally held outdoors under the stars?

We chose our venue for their flexibility and the fact that they are very well set up for outdoor ceremonies. It doesn't alwayse have to be more cons than pros!

At the Beardmore Hotel in CLydebank we regularly hold wedding ceremonies outside in the summer months. It is very romantic especially with a piper. The location is on the banks of the Clyde with countryside views. Because we have a contingency plan in place for wet weather and our own gazebos for shade it is a great option and not too expensive.

Sounds great Lynn! You need a bit of luck with the weather but it's worth taking the gamble so long as you've got a back plan in place.

My daughter was "married" in June this year in our garden. She actually got married the day before at the registry office, but with our faux registrar and open sided marquee next to the swimming pool and underneath the oak tree, it was just perfect. We then had a china smash, coccnut shie, horseshoe throw and bottle hoopla, all homemade by my clever dad for everyone to enjoy with a dressing up tent later in the evening. It was a brilliant day, and we were so unbelievably lucky with the weather. So I'd say, just go for it.
