My Big Fat Gypsy Royal Wedding vs The ‘Real’ Royal Wedding
Well it has finally arrived! The wedding of the century (so far!) will be over in a few short hours. Months and months of build up and then before you can say Camilla Parker Bowles, it’s over in a flash.
Now unfortunately, 88 Events were not asked to get involved in Wills’ and Cate’s big day but you can bet your bottom dollar that the real Royal Wedding will not resemble My Big Fat Gypsy Royal Wedding in any way whatsoever.

Did anyone see My Big Fat Gypsy Royal Wedding last night? At 88 Events we just love that programme.
Now, anyone familiar with 88 Events will know that we don’t do tack. And what is My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding if not the utter personification of tackiness?
However, if you’re going to do tacky at least do it properly and hats off to Thelma Madene, wedding planner and dress designer extraordinaire to the travelling community.
She managed to turn a weird little venue into a celebration of pinkness whilst her team battled with around 40,000 diamantes on not so much a wedding dress as a temporary structure.
However, there’s one thing that 88 Events does have in common with Thelma and that is a total commitment to ensuring that the customer is always satisfied and completely happy. You’ve got to hand it to Thelma. She gives her heart and soul to these girls and never stops until she has delivered exactly what her client asked for.

You may have noticed some strange emails and blog posts in the last couple of weeks from ourselves. P.S The update re Ben Stiller is as follows: He’s currently working on a script for Zoolander 2 and feels a long, drawn out court battle will distract him in the creative process. He’s therefore not suing us…for now. Phew!
