What Gordon Ramsay Said About 88 Events

Hi everyone,

It’s Marc here. Sheila’s busy traversing the country meeting with a venue where we’re doing a high-end wedding in a couple of weeks and fitting in  a client visit for an event in January so she’s asked me to post on her behalf today.

I’m happy to do it as well because it means I can shut my door and escape from the bedlam that is our office. Our team has been busy individually gift-wrapping hundreds of Christmas gifts on behalf of a client. They’ve brought 88 Events in to dress a couple of their units for the festive period and you cannot move for baubles, ribbons and presents. As my wife and kids will confirm, gift-wrapping, or tree decoration for that matter, is not my strong suit and as we’re sticklers for perfection I’ve managed to escape the grind!

Anyway, our good friends at the Glasgow Science Centre have put together their own great video of October’s Gordon Ramsay Gala Dinner.

It’s a good representation of how 88 Events designed and set-up the event but more importantly, there’s a great segment at the end which shows the real reason we all get involved in this great cause.

We’ve finally managed to upload the full case-study on this event where you can see all the images, Sheila’s design concept and just what Chef Ramsay had to say about our design. Here’s the link:

Here’s what Chef Ramsay himself kindly said about our contribution:

“The design expertise that Sheila Samuels and her team at 88 Events bring to our annual gala dinner in aid of the Scottish Spina Bifida Association is superb. This event is key in ensuring we meet our funding requirements and with so many VIP guests in attendance, it’s vital that the event design is of a superior standard. Sheila makes this happen for us by continually raising the bar each year.”

Best,

Marc
