Jennifer & Paul’s Classy Wedding at Prestonfield
Jennifer and Paul both have high flying jobs in the Gulf region but we were delighted they managed to take time out of their busy schedule (whilst moving from Bahrain to Oman no less!) and visit 88 Events at our design studio.
From the outset, this couple were an absolute delight to deal with. The 88 Events job was made so much easier however, because both Jennifer & Paul had a complete vision of how they wanted their wedding reception to look.
They’d clearly done their research beforehand and so all we had to do was point them in the direction of their preferred products.
What was also interesting was how involved Paul was in the whole process from start to finish which if we’re being honest was also a breath of fresh air. (SS – All you guys out there, take note and don’t just leave your wedding design to the lady. Get involved too – you never know you might enjoy it??!!)
Here’s how Jennifer & Paul enhanced their wedding with some great design:
Ceremony – Garden Room
Jennifer and Paul went for a clean and fresh look for the ceremony using white Essential linen chair covers accented with apple green Faux Silk seat ties. They further enhanced the look with our tall silver plated candelabras either side of the registrar table (beautifully dressed by their florist) and our lighthouse lanterns to add some further drama.
Wedding Breakfast – Rhubarb
This is where the couple’s stylish outlook on life really came to the fore and how refreshing to see a wedding not done in traditional cream or white. Even more interesting was how Jennifer and Paul chose their design to perfectly complement the décor in the stunning Rhubarb.
Our versatile Essential range was again teamed with the Faux Silk, however this time the couple chose to go for a classy black look complemented with plum and damson accents – to add warmth to the sleek black.
For their tabletop, they chose the stunning damson glass charger plate which was finished off with the plum faux silk napkin tied with black satin ribbon alongside Prestonfield’s stunning cutlery.
Finally, to finish the look, our black high gloss tall candelabra added a sense of drama to proceedings and these were elegantly surrounded with some clear glass torpedo nitelights.
To summarise, this was a great example of working with your surroundings to achieve a cohesive design. On it’s own, this table design is certainly stylish but it was most definitely enhanced by the extent to which it complemented the décor.
Here’s what the happy couple had to say about their experience with the Event Design Experts, though in this case it was most certainly Jennifer and Paul who brought the expertise to proceedings:
“We both just wanted to drop you a note to say a huge thank you for your assistance with our wedding. The decor was amazing and absolutely everyone has commented on how beautiful the venue looked (including the venue itself!).”
Special thanks to:
Paul McKerrow at Prestonfield for all his help – a true credit to his profession and also to Christina at Elemental Weddings for allowing us to use her fantastic event photography which I’m sure you’ll agree is absolutely stunning.
